TOKYO, Dec 9 Asia Pulse - Komatsu Ltd. (TSE:6301) is expanding mining equipment operations in China and India.
In India, it will set up a mining equipment production and sales subsidiary in January. It will also build a new plant, with plans to produce 40-50 units per year. The plant is to be placed into service in fall 2006.
It will also then establish a service center in eastern India to handle mining equipment repairs, employing 20-30 technicians. Through these moves, it hopes to boost sales volume to about 100 ...
