SHOPPERS will now be on the hunt for Christmas trees - and despite the increasing number of artificial ones on offer, the trend towards real trees continues to grow.
Up to eight million real Christmas trees are sold in the UK every year - around a third of households - according to the British Christmas Tree Growers Association.
This is good news for North Wales growers, as association secretary Roger Hay says many of them have a hidden gem in the Scots Pine. One of the most glorious attributes of real Christmas trees is their scent, and Roger says the aroma of the Scots Pine fills the room.
