Children have their party tricks ( rolling their tongues, disjointing their thumbs and crossing their eyes.
But for Ian Lamming, his playtime prank had more painful repercussions.
The 43-year-old's skin on his shins would come apart if he simply stamped his feet.
"Come the winter my skin was so bad that it would split with the mildest provocation.
"The shin trick seemed to impress everyone at school
"Make them laugh, I thought, and perhaps they won't make fun of my funny skin."
