Gazprom rejects plan to gradually raise gas prices for Ukraine

Moscow, December 13 (Interfax) - Gazprom has rejected Ukraine's proposal that a transitional period be introduced during which the price for natural gas sold to Ukraine could be gradually raised up to market level.

"Gazprom deems unacceptable the gradual increase of prices for gas delivered to Ukraine and views such a proposal as an attempt to drag out the negotiating process," Gazprom CEO's press secretary Sergei Kupriyanov told Interfax.
