Dec. 15--If there's one thing Tony Butala could do over again, he'd pick a different name for his vocal group. One of the three founding members of The Lettermen, Butala says that by the time the group's letter sweaters became pass, the trio had experienced too much success for label executives to approve a name change. Now, 45 years after their founding, The Lettermen clearly have outgrown the high school and collegiate look but their hits and harmonies remain timeless.
