Statoil ready to allocate Arkhangelsk region over $3 mln

ARKHANGELSK. Dec 15 (Interfax) - Norwegian oil and gas company Statoil is ready to allocate over $3 million to Arkhangelsk region under a memorandum of mutual understanding, to set up a network of service suppliers for the oil and gas sector in the region, and also to finance social, educational and ecological projects.

A source in the press service of the local administration told Interfax that Arkhangelsk region would receive most of this sum in 2006.
