Dec. 15--The Federal Aviation Administration won't approve a proposal to relocate Queen City Airport unless developers first build a comparable replacement.
The stipulation, expressed in a letter sent this month to U.S. Rep. Charlie Dent, R-15th District, echoes previous statements by Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority, which owns the noncommercial airport used by owners of small aircraft.
The FAA also said the location of the replacement airport must be at least equal to Queen City's 203-acre property on Lehigh Street in Allentown.
