Jorge Aguirre tells his young music students about the worst time in his life.
About five years ago, he had strained one of his arms "trying to show off" while lifting weights at the gym, he said.
Aguirre, who has directed the Hampton Roads Chamber Players for more than a decade, had to stop playing his violin because his arm couldn't support the instrument. He feared he'd never perform again.
