IN years gone by this final weekend before Christmas would have seen the culmination of weeks of walking by goose drovers across the country. Market towns throughout Wales would be alive with the honking and hissing of thousands of birds destined for the Christmas table.
But this is now a forgotten sight as 93% of us in Britain make turkey our bird of choice for our celebratory meal.
