Compromise road map reached as embattled WTO talks end
Hong Kong. December 18. INTERFAX-CHINA - The World Trade Organization's 149 member nations reached a compromise trade roadmap Sunday after grueling week-long negotiations that were stained by violent protests in Hong Kong.
The WTO agreed to eliminate some agricultural export subsidies by 2013, even though the United States had pushed for a date of 2010, during the sixth ministerial conference.
