STOCKHOLM, Sweden -- The Swedish company Vattenfall Eldistribution AB has signed a contract with the Spanish IT company Telvent on the supply, installation and operation of electricity meters for Swedish households. The deal comprises one of the most extensive programmes ever conducted for the installation of modern, intelligent infrastructure for metering. It will be possible to read the new meters remotely every month and thus provide the customers with simpler and more accurate electricity bills.
