THIEVES have stolen a huge bronze Henry Moore sculpture worth more than [pounds sterling]3million - and last night police feared they would melt it down into [pounds sterling]5,000 worth of scrap.
The sculpture, one of Moore's world-renowned 'reclining figures', is more than 11ft long and weighs two tons.
It was taken from the grounds of the Henry Moore Foundation in Much Hadham, Hertfordshire.
Incredibly, the sculpture had been left at the site unsecured and simply laid on wooden beams in a courtyard after being returned from an exhibition.
The only security at the site was a five-bar gate and the thieves ...
