In iTunes 5, Apple added a Lyrics tab to the Info window for tracks, as well as the ability to sync those lyrics with the iPod nano (and in iTunes 6, with the video iPod). But a question remains: Where do you get the lyrics?
I suspect that Apple will eventually add automatic lyrics-fetching capabilities to iTunes, but until then I'm enjoying pear-works' free pearLyrics 0.5 (VERY GOOD; www.pearworks.com). Available both as an application and as a Dashboard widget, pearLyrics monitors iTunes and searches seven different Web sites to find the lyrics of the currently playing song.
