The orange paint covered Brittany Testone's face. The harness under her leotard was hardly noticeable. The ribbon on her tattered pointe shoes hugged her ankles.
With a reindeer hat and its light-up nose strapped to her head, Brittany took a deep breath and stood just behind the curtain at the John H. Mulroy Civic Center. Six hundred schoolchildren waited on the other side.
