When the Oswego Minor Hockey Association hosted two recent tournaments, most of its profit was eaten up by higher ice fees.

The association brought in $100 after one tournament and about $175 after the other, president Tim Graber said.

At the same time, Oswego Minor Hockey Association paid the city $15,900 in ice fees last month. It expects to pay about the same this month, plus $16,500 to $17,000 in January, and $16,000 in February, Graber said.
