Bob Goin's legacy at the University of Cincinnati will be immense.
He will be remembered as the athletic director who led the Bearcats' charge into the Big East Conference, oversaw a massive overhaul of UC's athletic facilities and hired football coach Mark Dantonio.
He will also be remembered as the athletic director who allowed UC President Nancy Zimpher to get rid of Bob Huggins, the most successful basketball coach in UC history and the face of Bearcat athletics.
Goin will leave his post on Dec. 1, he said Wednesday night.
