Paul J. Carroll, 85, of Syracuse, died Tuesday at home after a long illness. He was a native of Philadelphia, PA, and was employed as a mathematician for the U.S. Government with the Naval Air Development Center in Johnsville, PA, o72463carrol for 25 years. In 1977, he moved his family to Syracuse where he was a teacher at Assumption Catholic Academy, teaching physics, math, mechanical drawing and religion. He then became the Director of Religious Education at Assumption Church before retiring.
He earned a BS degree in mathematics from St. Ambrose College in Davenport, Iowa, and took courses at LaSalle College in ...
