THE silly season is well and truly upon us and the country is binging with its drinking, spending and eating.

Panic had well and truly gripped me, What do I buy my family for Christmas? What do seven-year-old girls like and what about 76-year-old men?

To aid my panic spending I have borrowed a Toyota Avensis 2.2 D4D Luna. If it's good enough for the Garda, high mileage users and families up and down the country it will certainly accommodate me as I wedge half an aisle of Toys R Us into the boot.
