Dec. 23--One or two at a time, the curious came to see the sun Thursday through the lens of a high-powered refractor telescope set up on the west side of the Cadillac Restaurant and Grecian Pizza on West Second Street.
"I thought it would be yellow," said 10-year-old Austin Smith. "I saw orange."
The solar scene was serendipitous for some viewers. They came to get a bite to eat and heard about Jerry Garner's observation opportunity.
