The desk excavation began in an attempt to find a seemingly long lost car rental receipt and keep the Star Tribune bean counters at bay.
The coveted receipt was unearthed along with something much more interesting: the final rankings of the class of 2003 high school seniors, a list put out by a reputable company that was 300 players long.
For kicks, an examination of the top 100 players on this list was undertaken. How many of them remain in college? How many of them are true contributors? And who has failed to live up to expectations?
