Dec. 23--HIGH POINT -- Standing amid a warehouse of new furniture along W. Green Drive Wednesday, Keith Wingard waited to load the goods on a truck. All of the assorted chairs, sofas, dressers and tables -- 83 donated pieces worth some $26,000 -- would leave the Braxton Culler Inc. warehouse to end up in the homes of New Orleans residents who lost their possessions in the September flood.
