Dec. 23--OILTON -- The city of Oilton may have found a way to lower its natural gas rate to a more affordable level. Confronted by a room full of angry residents and business owners during a special meeting late Thursday, the City Council said it had worked out a deal with its gas supplier, the Panoak Group of Tulsa. "We're going to give the town a longer period to pay this," said Panoak CEO David Harl. "It's an old Washington, D.C., solution: Kick the can down the street."
