Dec. 27--Be wary of callers who offer hefty discounts, coupons or who claim you have won a gift certificate from a local business, state Attorney General Darrell McGraw said. Telemarketers are making their rounds in West Virginia, and many consumers have reported receiving calls from telemarketers who ask them to provide bank-account numbers and other personal information. Most of the targeted consumers are either college-aged students or the elderly.
