Dec. 27--Starting in a basement workshop, Theodore J. Mau Jr. transformed a hobby into an circuit-board manufacturing business that today employs 250 people in Wheeling and China.
"He was a very humble man. If you asked him the secret of his success, he would say it was good luck," said his wife, Kristy. "In fact, he was very persistent, he embraced the technology, and he embraced the people around him. He was very precise in everything that he did in life."
Mr. Mau, 60, of Glenview, founder and board chairman of Circuit Service Inc., died of pulmonary fibrosis Friday, Dec. 23, in Loyola University ...
