The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) said it plans to make 2006 the banner year in its efforts to go after government agencies that are remiss in remitting GSIS premiums and loan repayments.
GSIS President and General Manager Winston Garcia said the state pension fund will step up negotiations with delinquent agencies to enter into restructuring agreements on their obligations, but warned that those who continue to refuse to settle their accounts would be charged in court.
"While we are continuously reaching out to our members, we are also reaching out to agencies that have been remiss in their obligations with the System," Garcia said.
