HANNOVER, Germany -- Refrigerant-related issues have surfaced on a variety of fronts in Europe in recent weeks. Such happenings could have implications in North America.
Developments announced at the 26th annual International Trade Fair for Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Ventilation (IKK) included:
* An announcement from DuPont about its launch of a line of HFC refrigerants that work with mineral oil for retrofit options. The company also introduced a Web site with emphasis on refrigerants.
* An announcement from French company Arkema that it had developed a new refrigerant called Forane FX 100, an HFC that works with a mineral/POE oil mix. ...
