PCG accuses state government of double standards
Guwahati, Dec 28 (PTI) The Peoples' Consultative Group, formed by the ULFA to hold peace talks with the government, today accused the Assam government of adopting double standards by engaging in encounters with its cadre.
Criticising the government for the police-ULFA encounter in Morigaon district yesterday in which a militant and the Officer-in-Charge of Nellie police station were killed, a PCG member, Lachit Bordoloi, said the state government was talking of peace and also attacking ULFA cadre at the same time.
