The "fabulousness factor" of some of the world's great cities rises even higher on certain holidays: Mardi Gras in New Orleans, Easter in Rome or Christmas in New York, for example. For Vienna, that special time is New Year's, when the music this city is known for seems even more timeless.
The elegant Viennese NeuJahrskonzert tradition comes to Overture Hall at 8 p.m. Friday with "Salute to Vienna."
