Dec. 29--The new owner of the Levitz Home Furnishings chain is making plans to find tenants for two buildings in Norwalk and Stamford that the Westbury, N.Y.-based business plans to vacate by early next year.
Both stores are among the seven in Connecticut that Levitz will close as part of a restructuring plan. The closings will leave Levitz with 79 stores.
The stores at 30 Buxton Farm Road in Stamford and 120 Connecticut Ave. in Norwalk are among 35 across the country that the chain will close to concentrate on its profitable West Coast and New York metropolitan markets, said Jonathan Duskin, managing partner of Prentice ...
