DEAR FRIENDS!
Our town, Vorkuta, is in the North of Komi Republic, Russia--above the polar circle, 160 kilometers from Arctic Ocean, near the 67th parallel.
Translated, Vorkuta means "The bear's cave" or "The bear's land". We love our miner's city very much, and we think it is one of the most beautiful cities in the world--with the majestic tops of the mountains of Polar Ural, which are snow-white even in summer, and the northern lights in the sky!
