Abstract
The results of evaluation studies into the efficacy of dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) for patients with borderline personality disorder (BPD) are promising. However, controlled and randomized investigations are warranted to confirm the experimental findings of most of the studies. Furthermore, significant and different treatment outcomes in various studies were not comparable with each other (research method, study target, distinctive categories of subjects).
