Article: ICTV unveils new interactive cable service.

Silicon Valley startup ICTV is teaming up with IBM Corp. and New Century Communications to roll out an interactive cable system that supports delivery of advanced services without requiring high-cost hardware in the home.

The as yet unnamed system, which ICTV will demonstrate at the National Show in San Francisco in early June, combines ICTV's headend-based "virtual channel" technology with billing software developed by NCC and a "scalable" server from IBM known as the ES 9000.
