BUDGET flights to Australia for under [pounds sterling]300 return could be on offer in one of the biggest shake-ups in long-haul travel for nearly 30 years.
The move, by the airline Emirates, could also see British passengers offered a no-frills service to the U.S.
Emirates currently charges [pounds sterling]896 for an economy return flight to Sydney and [pounds sterling]4,450 for a first class return.
But its proposed offshoot Emirates Express could offer return flights to Sydney for as little as [pounds sterling]280 and to New York for [pounds sterling]140.
