American Capital Strategies Ltd., a Bethesda, Md., buyout and mezzanine fund, has invested $81 million in tranches of a JPMorgan Chase & Co. commercial mortgage-backed security trust.
The investment, announced last week, was made at a 41% discount to the $136 million face value of the tranches, which are rated BBB-minus and lower.
