At the request of the Florida Supreme Court, the Committee on Standard Jury Instructions in Criminal Cases has submitted to the court a report proposing Standard Jury Instructions in Criminal Cases for use in cases where testimony is provided through a translator. The committee proposes the following new instructions: Instruction 2.8--Preliminary Instructions; Instruction 2.9--Instructions During Trial; Instruction 2.10--Transcript of Recording in Foreign Language (Accuracy Not in Dispute); Instruction 2.11--Transcript of Recording in Foreign Language (Accuracy in Dispute); and Instruction 2.12--Closing Instructions.
