The chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat, calls on Ariel Sharon, the Israeli PM, not to "sabotage" Palestinian legislative elections or arrest or "assassinate" candidates. Addressing a press conference after meeting US State Sec Condoleezza Rice in Washington, Erekat said: I hope Mr Sharon will change the course of his thinking on the Palestinian elections and leave us alone... not do anything to sabotage these elections".
