November saw the official sign-off of the latest major production equipment installation at Komatsu UK. Large component machining processes are vital to the company, one of the North East's major employers. The factory near Newcastle employs around 700 people to make a range of 18 excavator models - totalling 4000 excavators per year - for supply to customers worldwide.
