NEW YORK -- VF Corp. said Friday it was "quite surprised" by the breach of contract suit filed against the company and its Spanish subsidiary Vives Vidal SA by The Warnaco Group.
The suit involved certain Spanish and Portuguese license agreements for Warnaco's Warner's intimate apparel.
Lawrence R. Pugh, VF chairman, president and chief executive officer, said in a statement that the firm learned about the action through a press release issued by Warnaco last Thursday.
