MILWAUKEE -- With the state's new voter registration system still stalled, Milwaukee officials say they're going ahead with a purge of old voter data in preparation for this year's elections.
The state's largest city has blamed inaccurate record-keeping for many of the problems that developed during the November 2004 presidential vote and, in some cases, resulted in charges of people voting twice or voting despite being ineligible as convicted felons.
