Jan. 5--Ricardo didn't want Christmas presents this year.
He asked for a blanket.
Ricardo, 12, is one of more than 20 children who live in the Agua de Vida, or Water of Life, orphanage in Paredones, Baja Calif., near Los Algodones. Children at the orphanage range in age from 5 months to 12 years old.
The children at the orphanage have blankets, but they have to share them. They sleep two or more to a bed. And so as they sleep through the night, children sometimes play tug of war with the covers.
