DEERFIELD, Ill. -- To handle business from Medicare Part D, Walgreens Health Initiatives (WHI) has teamed up with Ovations, the senior health care business unit of United Health Group.
Ovations provides health care services for nearly 5 million individuals, and its recent agreement with the American Association of Retired Persons to offer an AARP-branded Medicare drug plan should enhance the partnership.
In addition to Ovations, WHI will be the pharmacy benefits manager for another major insurance provider, WellCare.
