Dinosaurs roamed Earth millions of years ago. Some dinosaurs lived in the area that is now the United States. Two well-known dinosaurs include the Allosaurus and the Brachiosaurus. They were very different from each other.
The Allosaurus was a carnivore. Carnivores ate meat and stood on two legs, like humans. They had sharp teeth to catch and eat food. Allosaurus means "different lizard."
