TOKYO, Jan 5 Asia Pulse - Nippon Cargo Airlines Co., a subsidiary of Nippon Yusen KK (TSE:9101), plans to increase its aircraft fleet while roughly maintaining its current crew member number.

The company, known as NCA, will fully switch over to new planes that can be flown by a crew of two rather than the three needed on older aircraft.

In August, Nippon Yusen purchased NCA stock owned by All Nippon Airways Co. (TSE:9202) and made NCA into a consolidated subsidiary.

To make up for the crew members that will return to ANA, NCA will increase foreign crew members employed on a contract basis. Through these efforts the company will increase by 2009 ...
