Don't yearn for Clinton
The Dec. 28 editorial "Happy talk, but a hollow recovery" cites factors such as lags in job creation, wage growth, and business investment as evidence pointing to a subpar recovery or expansion.
In fact, it says we are even lagging behind the Clinton years when we were raising taxes to reduce the deficit. Obviously, we all know what happened to that expansion as the Clinton years wound down. Perhaps we could ask some of the workers who lost everything - including their jobs - when this "on paper expansion" self-destructed how they feel about that period of economic bliss.
Many of them not only lost jobs ...
