Jan. 7--Paul Posluszny, Penn State's All-America linebacker, received good news Friday about his right knee, which was injured in Tuesday night's Orange Bowl.
An MRI done Friday morning in State College showed that Posluszny has a partial tear of the posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) and a partial tear of the medial collateral ligament (MCL). He faces six to eight weeks of rehabilitation, but no surgery.
Posluszny probably will be ready for spring practice, if he decides to stay at Penn State for his senior season. He has until Jan. 15 to enter the NFL draft.
