THE IBM THINKPAD T43 features a bevy of cutting-edge components, along with a sturdy, thoughtfully designed case.
Our $1,999 T43 arrived with a nice array of higher-end parts, including a fast 1.86GHz Intel Pentium M 750 processor, 512MB of snappy 533MHz RAM, and ATI Mobility Radeon X300 graphics with 64MB of dedicated video memory. Also onboard was a 60GB hard drive spinning at 7,200rpm and a DVD [+ or -] RW burner in a hot-swappable bay. The T43's 14.1-inch screen offers a fine native resolution of 1,400x1,050 pixels.
