The Northern Kentucky University men's basketball team will play host to No. 5 Southern Indiana today at 3:15 p.m. in Regents Hall in a key Great Lakes Valley Conference showdown.

NKU enters the game with a 9-3 overall record after knocking off Kentucky Wesleyan, 71-63, Thursday night. The Norse are unbeaten (4-0) and in first place in the GLVC East standings.

Southern Indiana -- which defeated NKU three times last season-- is 15-1 overall, 4-1 in the GLVC. The Screaming Eagles are in first place in the GLVC West and ranked fifth nationally in the NCAA Division II poll.
