Jan. 11--LAKE WALES -- Harbor Federal Bank chose Lake Wales as its newest port of call.
The Fort Pierce-based bank will open a 4,300-square-foot branch office in Lake Wales late this year or early 2007. It will be in the shopping plaza on the north side of Chalet Suzanne Road and is bordered to the east by U.S. 27.
"We believe this fits into our footprint, as far as growth," said Albert Fort, Harbor Federal's senior vice president. "Just the growth along the center of the state is huge. Everything from Sebring up through Ocala on (U.S.) 27 is phenomenal."
