Jan. 11--CRESTVIEW -- The message written in icing across the top of the cake appeared too beautiful to eat.
"On The Road to Glory," the cake said. That was also the message at the 50th anniversary celebration of Woodlawn Baptist Church.
"That's our motto tonight," said Bobbie Brown, one of the coordinators for the event. "It fits."
Anyone who was unfamiliar with the history of Woodlawn Baptist needed only to take one glimpse of the cake in order to get their first lesson.
On the top left corner sat a miniature log cabin, while a tiny church sat at the opposite corner.
