Article: Fujitsu to make logic chips with 65 nanometer circuit width.

Jan. 11--TOKYO -- Fujitsu Ltd. said Wednesday it will set up a new factory at its existing Mie Prefecture semiconductor facility within fiscal 2006 to mass produce logic chips with a 65-nanometer circuit width beginning in July 2007.

The factory will be built at a cost of some 120 billion yen, to be disbursed through fiscal 2007 with its output to be used mainly in audiovisual equipment and cellphones.

Its monthly production will begin with 10,000 units in terms of 30-centimeter wafers, rising to a maximum of 25,000 units.

The new factory will have a floor space of some 80,000 square meters and a 24,000 square meter clean room.
